OK you guys, I"m doing a little happy dance right now, just knowing that my eco pals and Earth brothers on this network are backing me up with support and outreach. Boy, that feels good! I will certainly send you the URLs and POCs of the movers and shakers dealing with MTR. It is my pleasure to do so. If you'll send me your email I will also send you photos that I took of MTR in eastern Kentucky, near Martin and Perry -- two towns that once boasted of having some of the most gorgeous forested mountain ecosystems in the U.S.

Jeanette, I am big on writing Congress and every Politician you can think of, i make it business to be in there face as much as possible so i would like to get involved but i just don't know enough about it since i live in South Florida and have virtually no exposure to this subject. I will read up on it but like you said its insidious and very political. The morons in Washington just won't break habits when it involves huge sums of money. When you have time point me in the right direction as far as web sites or Blogs so i can get educated and i'll start popping off emails to anyone i can find. I do love driving Politicians crazy. I would also help in creating some mini documentaries if i can get some video. Anything to help get this country off the Crude & Coal and go with alternative energy i'll do it.

Jeanette I find your production work most interesting... And I will do whatever I can to help you on your way...
We only have one planet! And if the human race continues to trash and abuse our planet...
Well go the way of 99 percent of all the other species, that no longer live on this ever changing world.....

There is so much to be done... We have a choice.... Save our world, or it ends with us!

Jeanette I speak to you a s as person who believes that what you're doing... most be done...
The human race will go kicking, and screaming! We really don't know what is in the best interest of the next generations of families, the animals, the plants, insects, food, and water....

We better take a good look around, and start ding something or there will be nothing......

Thank Jeanette for all your work and starting this group... I will continue to follow very closely

We screw this up! There is no place for us to go....

Hi Jeanette, this is something that the Elite Media and the Government never mentions. It's unbelievable that they just blow an entire mountain top off. I guess i can understand why they do it but i don't understand why they havn't come up with the technology to do it differently. I guess it's the "Strip Mining" concept but i wouldn't mind putting some effort into exposing this. I am really surprised that no one is really aware of this besides the people that live there. Thanks for telling me this, i am going to do some research on it.

Hi Joseph -
In my personal travels I would have to say Mountaintop Removal, where entire 330-million year old mountains in Appalachia are blown to smithereens for the coal. It's easier and more economical to blow up the mountains now than to mine them underground. The wildlife can't read to know that blasting day is imminent, and so along with the trees and mountain lakes, the wildlife are eradicated from Earth. Formerly pristine mountain ecosystems are reduced to moonscapes devoid of life. I lived among the mountain people for nearly two years to get a good understanding of the issue, and it is horrific, complete rape of Mother Earth. Mountain Justice folks from eastern Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia are fighting it, but they don't have the resources to go up against Peabody Coal Company. My dream is to collaborate with others to produce a film about it for Sundance.

The most devastating issue I have found through my journalistic writings is bear bile farming. And that's the blog I posted about the Ursa Freedom Project that I am organizing to liberate 9,000 bears from bile farms and end the garish practice.

Thanks so much for asking.
