My Bio/Profile
I am a dedicated actor-director and script proof-reader. I live in Switzerland at the moment, but I have worked mainly in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

I have directed many period plays on stage, which seem to be my true specialty.
From "A Man for All Seasons" and "Becket" to "The Lion in Winter" and "Cymbeline" I have filled my time chiseling at these many plays like a goldsmith or a sculptor does, when he is creating what has to be a masterpiece.

I started as an actor, and at heart I still am mainly an actor, and as such I love active creativity above all.

Once I have been asked why I chose to become an actor and a director.

Besides not "having become", but "being" an actor, in heart and soul, with every fiber in my body, the main reason I decided to plunge in this pool of wisdom and knowledge was that it was a noble Art, such as painting is to natural born painters and playing the piano or the violin is to a concert musician.

Besides, aren't the Arts, like being a god in miniature? Being able to create out of nothing, something very real and tangible?

Haven't we cried or laughed at a very good actor's work?

Haven't we been touched by the expert hands of such skillful directors such as Orson Welles, Kurosawa or Kubrick?

Haven't we heard the chimes at Midnight?

And like another Sinon take another Troy?

Ah Shakespeare, the everlasting and solid bard, who, like an always fluttering dove from the skies above, has inspired millions of audiences and hundreds of authors alike, together with his illustrious colleagues, such as Ben Johnson and Christopher Marlowe.

And what is there to say, in reading Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, Eugene O'Neill or even Anton Chekov?
Who can surpass such sublime authors.

But let's not forget the others, like Moliere, Racine and Corneille, the triumvirate of French poetry in verses, to whom I may also add Jean Anouilh and his solid and age-proof "Cyrano de Bergerac".

All these and many more, like Sacha Guitry, with his sharp as a knife sarcasm and elegant social critique or Voltaire, the judge of an entire society have fascinated me enormously and have opened to me an entire universe of knowledge and wisdom.

I like to consider myself a Renaissance Man, but not in the classic sense of the word, but rather as the Man who constantly tries to bring forth a new Renaissance in vision and perspective.

This is all I am and what I have always wanted to be.
Nothing more, nothing less.

This is probably why I will never be rich, nor famous, but I do not do what I do for fame and glory, but rather for the ethics and high moral values which are tied to so much storytelling.

A storytelling that in this day an age is slowly vanishing from the minds, replaced by computer games, special effects and tons of visual Circus evolutions, that to me, have never left a solid impression in my heart.

Dead and meaningless things have no value in my life.

The message is the key.

If one does not convey a message, then he is not saying anything to the world.

I like to communicate with the world, but still at a human level, not as an automaton or a drone.

I may be considered a dinosaur for my views, and as a dinosaur I will depart this world, but not without having first delivered the battle of my life against dullness and empty-minded commercialism.
Be it my last battle and in vain, I am fighting and will fight it out...

I want back the quality that once was standard in Movie Studios, as well as on Stages throughout the world, before they were hijacked by Bankers, Lawyers and the Stock Market.

I have nothing against them personally, but they have dared invade my territory and claim it as their own.

It is not.

They just stole it and very cleverly too.

But they haven't brought with them what is vitally needed for this industry to really thrive.
And this is: CREATIVITY.

This is their weak spot and this is where I will strike, just like Achilles. And strike I will. Very, very hard.

I thought it was just for fun, yet many people seem to like it.
What did I do?
I simply don't know...
I just found that site, and started doodling around.

Sometimes, being unaware can be a blessing.

So therefore, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It is nice to be aknowledged every now and then.

I am glad and honored to be counted on as a good friend.

Be well and many thanks for your kind comment.
