"I had so much fun building this slide show around my original song, "Six-String Outlaw", last night. I didn't crawl into bed until 7AM. You see, I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to creating slide-shows or videos.…"
This song was written on a dare from a friend. He said "Write a song about a six-pack of beer, a six-shooter, and a guitar" The next day............. :-) It was originally written as an acoustic ballad, but then Les worked his magic on it. Enjoy.

Tanya Mae is an insightful songwriter who has been inspired over the years by many genres of music, from Classical to Heavy Metal and everything in between. When asked what her favorite music is, she answers, "Good music." As a lyricist she has been most inspired by Carol King, Karen Carpenter, James Taylor, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, John Denver, Kris Kristopherson, and so many more. She says, "I still have a lot to say that is fresh and relevant today. Music has always been the medium of choice for expressing myself. Why let the youngsters have all the fun." Tanya found at an early age that she loved to express herself through the written word as well as musically and has been writing poetry for many years. It was a natural progression when in 2007 she began combining her love of music and writing to better express her feelings about the people and situations that impact her life. This has resulted in a unique, honest, eclectic style of songwriting that people connect with on a basic level. She says, "People seem to find a common thread in my music that they can relate to. We've all been there, or know someone who has!" Since 2007 Tanya has been associated with and singing with several local Orlando, Florida bands. She has been encouraged, influenced, and mentored by many fine, local musicians and songwriters. In February of 2010 Tanya partnered with Les Landrum, an excellent guitarist/musician and the leader of the Les B. More Band who arranges and performs the instrumental portions of their songs. Tanya and Les share the lead and background vocals and collaborate lyrically as well. They have copyrighted four songs together so far and are feverishly working to complete several more. Les says, "Tanya is always writing. It's hard to keep up with her. She always has a new song that she's working on."
